Musical director
William Coleman, who lives in Malvern, has been involved in choral singing professionally for nearly twenty years. He read music at the University of Liverpool and studied singing in Glasgow at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Patricia MacMahon. He has been a singer with Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera and Buxton Festival Opera and has sung with the BBC Singers,
Cappella Nova and Birmingham- based Ex Cathedra. William's commitment to encouraging and developing singing |
William was brought up in Somerset where he was
a chorister at Wells Cathedral School. |
has found him involved in several areas of vocal and choral music. As an animateur and vocal coach he has worked with the National Youth Choir of Scotland, the National Youth
Choir of Wales and with young singers in Birmingham and Leicestershire. He has been Choral Director to Stourbridge Choral & Orchestral Society, and musical director of Northampton Festival Opera. William is a visiting vocal teacher at Malvern College. In 2011 he established Severn Voices chamber choir. |
